Cinekuest Video Presents 12 Monkeys AKA The One Where We Wonder How It Makes Sense
Time travel, questioning reality, eco-terrorist actions, looooooove, and Bruce Willis’ beautiful backside with a backdrop of Brad Pitt’s pre-Fight Club nuttiness are the driving force of 1996’s 12 Monkeys directed by Python alum who also directed a previous entry in our time travel miniseries, Terry Gilliam! A deadly virus has devastated humankind and 2036 is the year that prisoner James Cole (Willis) is volunteered to be sent back to 1996 to locate the virus before it mutates and wrecks humanity. However, things are not so straightforward for Cole which is most excellent for us viewers to attempt to suss out what the hell this movie is and how it’s supposed to work. Join Rey, Roland, and Daniel as they discuss the ins and outs of this well-received movie and whether or not this is indeed a movie about time travel!
